APPLICATIONS ARE CURRENTLY CLOSED


To apply for a character please use to following form. Remember that reserved applications get priority when there is a long queue and that app challenges are allowed. We also ask that, if possible, you post your app somewhere else and link it here. It keeps the page a little bit cleaner and makes it just a little easier on the mods. When posting your application, please use the following format in your subject line: Character Name » Fandom » Reserved/Unreserved.

If there is absolutely no way at all for you to comment with your app due to a lack of Dreamwidth account or OpenID, we will accept applications during open app cycles via email. Please send them to swevenmods@gmail with the the same subject line format. We would prefer it for apps to be posted here, however.

<big><big><b><u><font face="georgia">PLAYER INFO</font></u></big></big> <B>PLAYER NAME »</B> What you want to be called, this is fairly self-explanatory. <B>PLAYER JOURNAL »</B> If you don't have one, or only have a journal on another site, just say so!! <B>AGE »</B> This is optional, but we would like to know if a player is younger than 18. <B>EMAIL »</B> If you would prefer not to disclose, just say so. <B>INSTANT MESSAGING »</B> Again, if you don't have an IM username, just say so. It's no big, but it's easiest for some people to use things like AIM to get in contact. <B>OTHER METHOD OF CONTACT »</B> This is where you can put your plurk name or other places you can be contacted. <B>HOW MANY CHARACTERS DO YOU CURRENTLY PLAY? »</B> Put N/A if you're new. <big><big><b><u><font face="georgia">CHARACTER INFO</font></u></big></big> <B>CHARACTER NAME »</B> Fairly self-explanatory. Also, this will be your character's tag, so if they have titles like Agent or Colonel, it's up to you whether you leave them off. <B>FANDOM »</B> If there are different versions of your canon, please be specific. "Star Trek" has a lot of shows and movies in it! <B>CANON-POINT »</B> An event works, or something like an episode title or issue number. <B>HISTORY »</B> This doesn't have to be written out, it can be a wiki link! <B>AU SETTING/PAST GAME HISTORY »</B> The more in-depth here, the better! Try not to write a novel, but give us enough that we can get an understanding of the setting, what the changes to your character are, and why they are the way they are. <B>PERSONALITY »</B> This should be a few paragraphs long. Quality > quantity, but we want to get a real feel for your character. And while there is a weaknesses section down below, the personality is a good place for things like mental/emotional strengths and weaknesses. <B>ABILITIES/WEAKNESSES »</B> If your character has any canon abilities, this is where you put them. <B>DREAM POWER »</B> This is where you give description of the power your character will receive upon entrance to Sweven. <big><big><b><u><font face="georgia">CHARACTER SAMPLES</font></u></big></big> <B>NETWORK SAMPLE »</B> This should be as if you character was posting from their Nilisom communicator. It can be video, voice, or text, and should have at least four sentences of dialogue. <B>LOG SAMPLE »</B> There's no word count on this, but try to give us a few paragraphs. Introspection is really what we're looking for here. This should be in third person (using words like he/she instead of I/me) but think of what your character would be like if they had a voice-over narration or thought-box monologues for mundane aspects of their life like grocery shopping. <B>ANYTHING ELSE? »</B> Is there anything else about your character we should know?

Please take a moment to comment to the taken characters list using the journal you plan to use in-game. Then join sweven, swevenooc, and swevenlogs. Community membership is moderated, so we'll get you in the OOC comm as quick as we can so you can get to posting. There's also an optional, unmoderated spam comm over at greenmidgetcafe that you're free to join as well.

Once all that's done and you're in the comms, please comment on the player contact list so we know how to get a hold of you. Then feel free to post an introduction in the OOC comm! The game doesn't open until the 15th, but there's nothing to keep you from mingling and memeing it up until then.
